Our sales to this point are pretty weak so we need some work if we want to
grant some money this year.

On September 15 and 16 the Rotary Club of New Canaan is presenting the 21st
Annual New Canaan Family Lobsterfest. (Chicken dinners will also be
available) This is by far the most important fundraising event of the year
for the New Canaan Rotary Club. I have attached a list of past grant
recipients.

I will be there with my whole family and I hope you can join us. This is a
great event. Not only will you be getting a great lobster dinner for less
than you'd pay in a restaurant, but you'll be benefitting the many local and
international charities that Rotary supports. If you'd like to go either
give me a call or email me back this week and I will reserve for you some
tickets.

Many people will schedule a dinner party and come over and pick up the
lobsters either live or cooked. It is a great way to entertain and make a
donation. On Friday nights we have others pick up dinner after getting off
the train.

Where? The New Canaan Historical Society, 13 Oenoke Ridge Road, under the
tent on the great lawn.
When? Friday, September 15th from 4:30 - 8:00 and again on Saturday,
September 16 from 12:00 - 7:00.
What? Dinner includes a 1.25 lb. lobster or Chicken, corn on the cob,
coleslaw, roll coffee or soft drink and fruit. Kids are welcome and kids hot
dog meals are free. We offer carry-out service for lobster dinners (in leak
proof packages) if you prefer.

Tickets: $25 each at the Roger Sherman Inn anytime, on some Saturdays in
front of McKenzie's, or by calling 966-4541 or 966-3716 Extras? Beer and
wine will be available for an extra charge. Walk in's accepted but the
Lobsterfest has been known to sell out so please call the number above and
reserve your tickets now.
