It was one of those too nice to go to work days 8/17/06

ROTARY CLUB OF NEW CANAAN

BULLETIN FOR AUGUST 17, 2006

It was one of those “It’s Too Nice to Go to Work” days, hardly feeling like a dog day of August. Our President Nancy was in commanding mode, ready to lead and lift us to service. In sports, our cliché for this is, “Carrying the team on her back.” But there were few to carry. This veteran of the Rotary years cannot recall fewer, filling just two tables. Our lunch was Roger Sherman-good, our chit chat, intra-table, was solid. Our table concluded that the deer problem has a solution: store the deer on the school buses and park them in Norwalk. Rev. John Kerchoff gave us fine balance in his prayerful reach to heaven. It was all good.

Program:

Nancy is ready for reality TV, 5 grandchildren, under 5 yielded 2 weeks of family chaos and noise, 2 emergency room visits, people roaming in the Robertson home at all hours, and fun, fun, fun! Our President also told us that another grandchild is on the way! A new one! 6 under 6!

Respectfully submitted,

Mike DiFelice
